It’s a municipal election year in Indiana! Check out this Q&A with New Albany mayoral candidate Mark Seabrook for New Albany! He's a local businessman, former city council member and member of the Floyd County Commissioner! Q: What makes New Albany unique? A: New Albany has a spirit unique to itself, but is located just across the bridge from Louisville and all its cultural, educational, workforce and transportation opportunities. Q: What are your biggest priorities if elected? A: We’ve got four big priorities, including – 1. We will put neighborhoods first. We will create, with your help, a cohesive, coordinated plan to revitalize our neighborhoods. We must make our city more livable. 2. We will make transparency the foundation of all we do. 3. We will look for ways for government to work smarter. 4. We will be one team in city government. Q: What’s your vision for New Albany in ten years? A: I look forward to seeing neighborhoods that have been revived and that are serving as the community foundations I know they can be. We’ll have a city government that is operating at the next level, known for its ease of accessibility, transparency, inclusion, and smart spending. Q: What inspired you to run for New Albany’s highest office? A: There is room for big improvement versus how our city operates today. Plus, we have the best team running for city council since the 1960s!
