Accepted Tens of Thousands of Dollars From Pelosi & Schumer;
But Would He Support Hoosier Judge Amy Coney Barrett?
But Would He Support Hoosier Judge Amy Coney Barrett?
INDIANAPOLIS - Democrat Joe Donnelly is a reliable, paid-for vote for the liberal Democrat establishment and their causes -- especially when it comes to voting alongside his former Democrat boss, Nancy Pelosi, and his current Democrat boss, Chuck Schumer. Democrat Donnelly has received tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from both Democrats, and in return provides them with his vote when they ask.
With a Supreme Court confirmation vote likely in the coming months, questions remain on whether Democrat Donnelly would support Hoosier judge Amy Coney Barrett, who is a potential Supreme Court pick, if nominated. Just yesterday, Chuck Schumer went on Twitter to lambaste Barrett, and Democrat Donnelly has a strong track record of voting in line with Schumer.
In addition to being last year's deciding vote against the Obamacare repeal, Democrat Donnelly voted twice for Pelosi to be the Speaker of the House, and has voted with Schumer 84 percent of the time (CQ, accessed 2/22/2018).
