State offers $4.3 million in grants for career and technical ed

INDIANAPOLIS – A collaborative Indiana council that is working to close the skills gap in the Hoosier workforce announced Friday there will be $4.3 million available in grant funding to help educate students and provide technical training.

The Indiana General Assembly created the Indiana Works Council last year to bring together business leaders and education professionals. They’re working to provide programs that would connect Hoosier students to job opportunities – whether that’s through trade training or traditional higher education.
