Indiana Republican Party Chair Kyle Hupfer Statement on
Better Care Reconciliation Act of 2017
INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Republican Party State Chairman Kyle Hupfer issued this statement following the release of the Better Care Reconciliation Act of 2017:
"It's great to see Senate Republicans continuing the process started by House Republicans to fulfill the commitment President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence made to repeal and replace Obamacare. The importance of doing just that was highlighted again this week when thousands of Hoosiers found out they will lose their current Obamacare exchange insurance coverage. At the same time, Hoosiers have seen their premiums rise an average of 74 percent. It's time for real health care reform that is patient-focused, not government-controlled. I am encouraged by the proposal from the Senate today and confident that our Republican leadership in Washington will deliver on the commitments they have made to Hoosiers and to all Americans."
