Statement by Indiana Republican Party State Chairman Kyle Hupfer on
Governor Holcomb's Appointment of Mayor Blair Milo as
Secretary of Career Connections and Talent
INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Republican Party State Chairman Kyle Hupfer today issued this statement following Governor Eric Holcomb’s announcement that he has appointed LaPorte Mayor Blair Milo to serve as Indiana’s first-ever Secretary of Career Connections and Talent:
“Governor Eric Holcomb came to office promising to put an emphasis on workforce development and how to best grow our state for the economy of the future. Today, he yet again made good on that promise by officially creating our state’s first-ever Secretary of Career Connections and Talent. And in doing so, he chose someone who is perfectly suited for this role. LaPorte Mayor Blair Milo was elected to public office in 2011 as one of Indiana’s ‘Millennial Mayors.’ She has proven herself to be an outstanding leader with a vision and a passion for creating opportunity. I know she will excel in this new assignment and, as a result, Indiana will continue to excel, too.”
