IN Focus: Coats, Donnelly on Patriot Act, ISIS

It’s another do-or-die showdown in Congress, this time dealing with the Patriot Act, as lawmakers face an approaching June 1st midnight deadline.

President Obama is urging the Senate to renew the controversial phone records program, which allows roving wiretaps, searches of business records and  surveillance of people suspected of terror-related activities.

This weekend the Senate will head back to Washington for a special Sunday session to deal with the Patriot Act.
