INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 21, 2023)Indiana Republican Party Chairman Kyle Hupfer today released the following statement on the Politico report detailing how a Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee-aligned opposition research firm misrepresented itself to the Air Force in order to obtain military service records of Republican candidates in the previous election, including those of former Indiana First Congressional District candidate Jennifer-Ruth Green:

“Today’s bombshell report from Politico is unsettling yet unsurprising.

“It not only shows an abhorrent systematic effort by Democrats and their cronies at the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) to weaponize Republican candidates’ military service records for political gain, but because of how they obtained them, that they have little regard for the law or the truth.

“I join the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) in calling for a U.S. Department of Justice investigation into this matter to determine if any laws were broken and again call on Rep. Frank Mrvan and the DCCC to issue an apology to Jennifer-Ruth Green.”
