Beau Bayh Wants to Oversee Indiana’s Elections.
Can He Explain His Own Ballot?
Indianapolis, IN – Beau Bayh wants Hoosiers to trust him with Indiana’s elections. However, he’d like them to skip the part where he explains his own voting history.
Voter records indicate that Bayh claimed a 996-square-foot, one-bedroom Indianapolis condo as his Indiana residence in April 2014. Those same records indicate his absentee ballots were mailed to the Bayh family’s home in Virginia. At the time, Evan Bayh was no longer serving in the U.S. Senate, while Beau Bayh was still attending high school in Washington, D.C., and had not yet begun college or military service.
The questions are straightforward: When did Beau Bayh physically live at the condo? Who lived there with him? How much time did he spend there? And why were his election materials sent to Virginia if Indianapolis was his residence?
“Beau Bayh is asking Hoosiers to put him in charge of Indiana’s elections. Before he asks for their vote, he owes them a clear explanation of where he lived when he registered and voted in Indiana,” said Indiana Republican Party Chairwoman Lana Keesling.
A decade ago, questions centered on Evan Bayh’s Indiana residence. Now, Beau Bayh is facing questions about that same address.
