MUNCIE — Ball State University’s board of trustees on Thursdayhired an “experienced captain” to steer the university into a “cloudy future.”
The trustees named Paul W. Ferguson, 61, currently the president of the state flagship University of Maine, as BSU’s 15th president,effective Aug. 1.
Students, faculty, staff and community members packed SursaPerformance Hall to give Ferguson a Hoosier hearty welcome — several standing ovations.
