Ind. Gov. Mike Pence extends Public Health Emergency in response to Scott County HIV epidemic

Indiana Governor Mike Pence on Monday signed an executive order which extends the public health emergency recently declared in Scott County due to an HIV outbreak, according to a news release.

The original public health emergency was declared on March 26, and would have expired on April 24. According to Indiana law, a state of disaster emergency may not continue for longer than 30 days unless it is renewed by the governor.
