Donnelly endorses 'dangerously naive' Iran deal

INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 19, 2015) - This afternoon, just as the Associated Press broke the news that Iran would inspect its own nuclear sites, Senator Joe Donnelly announced his support for the Iran deal. Indiana Republican Party Chairman Jeff Cardwell issued the following statement:
 

"Senator Donnelly must think that a footnote in President Obama's memoir is more important than Hoosier common-sense and U.S. national security. Just after the Associated Press broke the news that Iran will be trusted to inspect its own nuclear facilities, Senator Donnelly endorsed this dangerously naive plan and put us one step closer to a nuclear powered Iran. Unlike Senator Donnelly and President Obama, Hoosiers know that you can't let the fox guard the hen house. Senator Dan Coats continues to put the safety of Americans first, and has taken a stand against the president and this bad deal.”
