Lyness replaces McMillin for HD 68

BROOKVILLE, Ind. (Oct. 22, 2015) - A new representative for House District 68 has been selected. Randall Lyness, a resident of West Harrison, was voted in tonight by the precinct committeemen of the Indiana Republican Party located in District 68. Lyness will be certified following the caucus and will be sworn in at a time yet to be determined. He will serve in the next legislative session, finishing the term of former State Rep. Jud McMillin.
"We are excited to welcome Randall to the Indiana Republican Party," said Indiana Republican Party Chairman Jeff Cardwell. "We look forward to having him join the rest of our Republican representatives in the House and share his input on the important issues facing our legislature in the upcoming session."
The caucus was held at the Franklin County Government Center, 1010 Franklin Avenue, Brookville, IN 47012. District 68 includes all of Union County, most of Franklin County and part of Dearborn County. The seat is open due to the resignation of former State Rep. Jud McMillin last month.
