It's easy for governors to grab splashy headlines with job hunting trips to far-flung countries.
But the trip Gov. Mike Pence took today demonstrates the importance of looking a little closer to home.
Pence took a one-day economic development trip to Toronto, flying in this morning and flying out tonight. The visit with our northern neighbors may not sound as interesting as trips to Asia or Europe. And, in Pence's words, the whirlwind nature of the trip left him feeling "threadbare."
But on a practical level, the trip may have a much bigger impact on Indiana's economy.
