Pence acts swiftly, smartly on drug abuse

“We can’t arrest our way out of this problem,” he said last week in announcing a 21-member task force to target drug enforcement, treatment and prevention.

The panel is expected to provide recommendations the governor can implement quickly through executive action this year, as well as proposals for legislation in the next session of the General Assembly.
