Joe Donnelly's Health Care Hypocrisy
Blames President Trump for the Mess Obama, Pelosi and Donnelly Himself Created

INDIANAPOLIS – During a speech on the floor of the U.S. Senate yesterday afternoon, Senator Joe Donnelly accelerated his hypocritical campaign rhetoric by insinuating that President Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans have purposely promoted “chaos” in the health care marketplace for political gain. At the same time, he glossed over the litany of failures of the Affordable Care Act (a/k/a Obamacare) as he desperately tried to re-assign blame to those working to fix the mess he helped create.

“President Trump and Congressional Republicans are doing what they were elected to do: repeal Obamacare and replace it with patient-centered reforms that will improve access and coverage,” said Indiana Republican Party State Chairman Kyle Hupfer.

“Joe Donnelly wasn’t concerned when half of the insurers offering health coverage through the exchange fled Indiana late last year, but with his re-election on the horizon he thought it was time to shed his moderate facade in order to fully morph into a Resistance-embracing D.C. Democrat live on the floor of the U.S. Senate,” Hupfer added.

“While his campaign may think this is just Joe Donnelly being ‘feisty,’ I think another word is more appropriate: hypocritical.”

Hupfer also responded to Donnelly’s claims that he wants to work to improve the Affordable Care Act: “Joe Donnelly can't simply wash his hands of Obamacare by saying he wants to fix that disastrous bill. He bought it word for word and line for line when he succumbed to Nancy Pelosi's wishes and voted for the bill despite the overwhelming disapproval of Hoosiers.”
