Republicans were celebrating "Ladies Night" after three candidates swept to a historic statewide victory Tuesday.
Incumbents Connie Lawson and Suzanne Crouch won the secretary of state and auditor's race and Kelly Mitchell took an open seat in the treasurer's race.
Republican Party State Chairman Tim Berry told Republicans gathered to celebrate Tuesday at their state headquarters Downtown that it was "Ladies Night." He said this was the first time either major party in Indiana fielded women for the three statewide offices.
