National textbook scam reaches Indiana schools
Oct 6, 2014 Fort Wayne Journal Gazette

A scam textbook company is targeting schools in Indiana, sending them phony invoices for products they never purchased or received. Schools from across the state have reported complaints to Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller’s Office. Four to five schools in the Indianapolis area have been targeted, as well as schools in Delaware, Grant, Lake and Wayne counties.

The company, Scholastic School Supply, is mailing invoices to schools that show an amount due of $647.50 for a bulk purchase of math or art books. The return address is listed as 1350 E. Flamingo Rd. Suite 820, Las Vegas, NV 89110. All of the invoices are the same.
