SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Oct. 8, 2014) State and local Republican candidates hosted an early vote rally today in South Bend.

Indiana Republican Party Chairman Tim Berry, Auditor of State Suzanne Crouch, candidate for prosecutor Jeff Sanford and candidate for county clerk Aaron Troutmiller gathered with supporters at the St. Joseph County courthouse to share the Party’s message and encourage early voting.

“Our Party is motivated and excited to get out the vote in advance of the General Election on Nov. 4,” Berry said. “Today’s rally is just a slice of our statewide efforts to reach voters and promote our qualified, state and local Republican candidates. Through the tireless work by volunteers, county parties and others, we are on target to make 1 million voter contacts by Election Day.”

Registered voters in St. Joseph County may vote early in person in the lobby of the County City Building in downtown South Bend or County Services Annex in Mishawaka. Offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for holidays. Absentee voting ends at noon the day before an election day. For more information, voters can visit www.stjosephcountyindiana.com.

Registered voters do not need a reason to vote early, and will be asked to present a valid photo ID issued by the State of Indiana. Early voters will also be asked while at the polling location to complete an application to vote absentee – since any person casting a ballot before Election Day is considered an absentee voter. Ballots will not be counted until Election Day.
