Coats Predicts Mideast Arms Race in Wake of Iran Deal

Indiana Senator Dan Coats joined all congressional Republicans in vocally opposing the Iran deal. He contends the agreement removes all constraints on Iran's acquisition of conventional weapons, without any meaningful monitoring of compliance with pledges not to advance its nuclear program. He says a clause banning Americans from inspection teams is the equivalent of "letting Tom Brady test the footballs."
