INDIANAPOLIS (March 26, 2025) – Fulfilling a key promise from his Freedom and Opportunity Agenda, Governor Mike Braun signed House Enrolled Act (HEA) 1149 into law, taking a significant step to strengthen Indiana’s agricultural industry.  The legislation directs the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) to develop a centralized online portal to serve as a one-stop resource for Hoosier farmers.

This new portal will streamline access to critical resources, including funding opportunities, market data, technical support, and regulatory information. It will deliver on Governor Braun’s pledge to cut red tape and empower Indiana’s farming community.

“Governor Mike Braun campaigned on a clear vision to support Hoosier farmers—and today, he’s delivering,” said Indiana GOP Chairwoman Lana Keesling. “With the signing of HEA 1149, Indiana’s farmers will now have easier access to the tools they need to grow and succeed. Our agriculture community knows Governor Braun has always had their back, and this is just the beginning of what he will accomplish for rural Indiana.”

HEA 1149 represents a cornerstone of the Governor’s Freedom and Opportunity Agenda for Agriculture and Rural Indiana.
