INDIANAPOLIS, May 28, 2014 — This month marks the one-year anniversary of the new administration of Indiana Federation of Young Republicans ushering in major changes, increased membership and record fundraising.

“We started the term with one goal in mind: increase the scope and credibility of our membership,” said Michael Neal, State Chairman of the Young Republicans. “We are working to create chapters in every county in Indiana, raise funds to support our candidates, and completely rebrand our organization internally and externally.”

In the past year the Indiana Young Republicans have developed and implemented a Five Year Strategic Plan, raised over $20,000, recruited an active executive board of over 25 republicans from across the state and chartered over 20 new county chapters.

Newly chartered chapters will aim to mobilize young people in their local campaigns and encourage civic leadership in their communities. In the past year, the Indiana Young Republicans have nearly doubled the number of chapters across the state bringing the total to 42.

Additionally, the Indiana Young Republicans are partnering with the Indiana Republican State Committee to execute several deployments titled #KeepTheCapitol in preparation for the upcoming election cycle, supporting the Party’s statewide candidates, and its congressional delegation.  Additional information about #KeepTheCapitol is available at IndianaYR.com/Deployments

“We’re looking forward to the November elections,” said Neal. “We’ve put together an extensive and diverse team and can’t wait to really see them in action.”

The Indiana Federation of Young Republicans is the official youth arm of the Indiana Republican Party. Essential to the growth of the Republican Party, the Indiana Young Republicans provide a unique opportunity for individuals, ages 18-40, to connect with the Republican leadership and become an active member of the Republican Party by impacting policies of purpose at home and across the nation.
