Tech company to add 400 jobs in Kokomo, Carmel

KOKOMO — A California-based technology consulting company plans to expand its existing operations in Kokomo and Carmel, creating 400 new jobs by 2017, the Indiana Economic Development Corp. announced Monday.

Systems in Motion LLC plans to hire about 240 new workers in Kokomo and 160 in nearby Carmel, the IEDC said. The Newark, California-based company plans to lease up to 25,000 square feet of space in downtown Kokomo's historic Firestone Building and expand its Carmel site by 15,000 square feet.
